REPORT OF PAYMENTS TO THE CITY

The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) requires local agencies to report on Form 801 certain payments 1) received for an official's travel expenses for the purpose of facilitating the public's business in lieu of a payment using agency funds; and 2) payments that would otherwise be considered a gift or income to the benefiting official, but is instead accepted on behalf of the agency.  (CA FPPC Regs. §18944 and §18950.1)

Agency Officials do not report the payments on the Statement of Economic Interests, Form 700, and the value of the payment is not subject to the gift limit.
