NATIONAL MAYOR’S CHALLENGE

Presented nationally by the Wyland Foundation and Toyota, the non-profit National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation is a friendly community-based competition that encourages residents to make a series of water conservation pledges on behalf of their cities. This annual challenge was created to reward residents for positive water conservation behavior. Winning cities are those with the highest percentage of participating residents in their population category. Participating residents from those cities are then entered to win hundreds of eco-friendly and water-saving prizes.

Residents can participate every year during the month of April. To take the challenge, visit the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation website, click on “Take the Pledge” tab, and enter the city in which you live. It’s that easy! The website also features additional resources for residents to take their commitment of conservation even further from regional water resources issues to cost-saving tips at home.
